Please Help Us Save Frank Osei
-An Appeal by the All Nations¡® Culture Center And Saenal School -

November 16, 2010

Mr. Frank Osei, age 47, is a native of Ghana in Africa who has been living and working in Korea since 2006. On the night of October 13 he was brought to the All Nations Culture Center in Gwangju by his friends. At that time he was very sick, so he was taken to the Bohun Hospital in Gwangju, where he was examined by doctors.
The next day he was unconsciousness and had symptoms of hydrocephalus (water on the brain), so it was decided to move him to the Gwangju Christian (Gidok) Hospital in his unconsciousness state that day. There he was examined more thoroughly, and the doctor explained that he had symptoms of brain inflammation. Thus he was committed for treatment at the Gwangju Christian Hospital.

By October 18 his condition had become very critical, with low blood pressure, high pulse, and inability to breathe by himself. The doctors treated him so that his condition became stabilized, but he was still in a coma as could not see out of his eyes.

After two weeks he began to improve, so that by November 10 his eyes were moving in response to the presence of people, even though he was still unconscious and could not breathe by himself.

We reported to the Ghanaian Embassy about his situation, and asked them to send a message to his family in Ghana so that they could visit Korea in order to see him. However, his wife and other relatives could not come as they had no money for air travel.

The problem we are faced with is that his hospital bill totaled 20,257,700 won (US$18,000) by November 7. They explained that 10,000,000 won ($8928) of this amount could be paid by an agreement between the Korean government and the hospital together, but they asked us for the remaining amount. Even now he cannot breathe by himself and is still unconscious, but his condition is getting better day by day.

We are making every effort to raise money through newspaper organizations, broadcasts, internet announcements, and personal requests. Many people have responded to our requests and have made contributions. Our goal is to raise 16,000,000won ($14,200).

My dear brothers and sisters! As the director of the All Nations¡® Culture Center, I ask you to please help us save our beloved brother Frank from this hard situation and let him go back to his family and country, Ghana, after recovery. We need your generous support for him with prayer and contributions. Financial donations can be sent care of Missionary Abraham Bong to Kookmin Bank Acct. No. 612-24-0213-674 (name on account: Juntae Bong).

Thank you so much for your kind concern, and may God bless.
